Driver Installation (Under Window 98 Operation System)
1. Connect the device with the PC, the "Found New Hardware" wizard will appear and demand install the driver.
2. Select the "Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended)" option, and then click "next".
3. Then it will pop up a dialogue box of "install from list or specific location (advanced)".
4. Select "Don't search, will choose the driver to install". Then click Next. Appoint the path where the driver file located, then click Next.
5. Windows will prepare to install the USB driver program, click Next. When the installation is finished, click Finish to confirm it and complete the installation.
Partition:
1. Windows 98/ME
You can use the Partition Magic tool to partition and format the device.
2. Windows 2000/XP/2003
Select the Disk Manager according to the following path: Start\ Settings\ Control Panel\ Administrative Tools\ Computer Management\ Disk Management, then you can select the portable hard drive in the list, you can then right click the mouse and select the disk partition and format option to conduct the relevant operation. If the capacity of a partition is within 30G, you can select the NTFS or FAT32 file system, if over 30G, you should select the NTSF format only.
Basic operation:
1. Connect with the PC
Connect the device with PC, then it will appear a new moveable drive in the resource manager.
2. Cut off the USB connection
Under Windows 98, you can click the hot plug icon on the task bar, then stop the portable hard drive, then you can pull out the USB cable.
Under Windows ME/2000/XP/2003, you can click the hot plug icon on the task bar, and then stop the portable hard drive, it will prompt you to remove the hardware safely, and then you can cut off the USB connection.
